No Knowledge of the dell drive but we have several hundred of the Samsung 850 pro in laptops.
I would check that it is up to server use though and if so go for it.

Samsung offers a 10 year warranty on their Pro SSDs and 5 year warranty on EVO series.

I love my home PC, it's technically a beefy WC workstation, 12 core, 24GB of ram GTX 970.
Some of these systems are registering dozens of TBs of data written and read and are doing just fine.

Denying those clients the warranty and almost forcing them to use only your BRANDED products, or else possible total system failure, sorta shows why HPE is falling so badly, and why WhiteBox options are getting very popular.
